Language School Studies to Benefit Communication Between Workers
The world seems to have become a much smaller place these days as people travel from one country to another often within a few hours. Not only are people travelling abroad for holidays but companies do a lot of business internationally. Employers very often find the need to send representatives abroad to attend conferences or seminars so the need for communication is very important. Because of this an employee could be asked to attend a language school (Sprachschule) to learn a second language. A company that does a lot of business in Germany will send their employees for tuition in German and for a company doing business with France it will be important that their employees know a little French. By studying a German course and learning how to speak the language the employee will find it benefits them a lot. Communication between workers is necessary to make sure that the company has a fair policy for everyone. People who are working for the same company either in England or abroad need to be able to communicate otherwise problems arise. By learning different languages people all over the world will find they can easily make themselves understood where ever they might be.
In many countries such as Germany and Spain children learn English as a second language from an early age at school. In England children don’t have to learn a second language at all. Later they might decide to learn a different language and courses are available to study any language they like. Many decide to learn Spanish because it helps them when they go on holiday. For other people French, Italian, German and Greek might be more appealing. Once someone has learnt another language well they very often try to learn another. Some people can speak three or even four languages, so visiting another country is never a problem. For foreigners visiting England they need to know a bit of our language otherwise they might need a translator. Immigration to England has seen many people arriving who cannot speak our language at all so they will need a translator to make them selves understood.
English people are rather lazy when it comes to learning different languages. Because many other countries teach it as a second language we seem to expect foreign people to understand us. It is always better when travelling abroad to know a little of the local language. For this reason holiday makers sometimes enrol for a short course to help them with communication on the holiday they are planning. They will learn small phrases which they might find helpful and learn more about the country they are visiting. French, Spanish and German lessons (Deutschunterricht) are available in most colleges throughout the uk, so picking up a copy of your local choices magazine or searching for the ideal course for you should be easy.
